WebSep 21, 2024 · Focal cemento-osseous dysplasia and cemento-ossifying fibroma are 2 benign fibro-osseous lesions with a female predominance that occur most commonly in the posterior region of the mandible. We report the first case involving the simultaneous occurrence of these 4 benign lesions in the same hemimandible diagnosed by CBCT. WebCemento-osseous dysplasia is primarily diagnosed based entirely on clinical and radiological features. Due to the risk of infection, biopsies, surgery, and tooth extraction are generally not advised. Failure to recognize cemento-osseous dysplasia may cause patients to undergo invasive and unneeded dental operations.
