FYI, this is still the case, and what more, ITead has not yet released any Zigbee OTA firmware image updates for any Zigbee Router or Zigbee End-Device products/devices at all, not even through their own Sonoff ZBBridge Gateway. WebDon't know how you installed things but my instructions on Linux (using esptool.py) included a step to "Backup Existing Firmware" which produced a .bin file. sudo esptool.py --port /dev/ttyUSB0 read_flash 0x00000 0x100000 image1M.bin. I would presume that reflashing that bin would restore the factory firmware. Haven't actually tried this though.
